Biography:

Thomas is a first-year student in the Clinical Psychology program. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia where he studied psychology for his bachelor’s degree. He went on to complete a Master’s degree in general psychology at CUNY Hunter College in New York City, where he completed his thesis on male populations at risk for HIV. Back in Atlanta, Thomas spent over three years working at Emory University School of Medicine on two large research studies of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), in the clinics and emergency department of Grady Memorial Hospital. There he developed further interests in trauma, emotion regulation, and attachment. In his free time, Thomas enjoys playing guitar, mountain biking, hiking, and eating eggs.

Research/Clinical Interests:

Thomas is interested in the intersections among personality disorders, trauma, emotion regulation, and attachment. He plans to conduct research that will ultimately inform and improve treatment and early interventions around these issues.
